For the AS5, little amounts! You might think you're putting too little on but chances are you put too little. I'm pulling 2.74Ghz Stable with... I think 1.48V right now but I'm breaking the processor into that speed so I should be able to drop the VCore a little later. My timings are 2.5-3-3-5@DDR460@1T. I can push 2.8Ghz out of it but its not stable for prime and it wont boot at 2.81Ghz but I think thats just because of NB and overall heat issues. Gonna go custom WC later. PM me if you need more help.

Yeah, just go into BIOS and go into DRAM configuration or something to that effect. Or look in your motherboard manual

There will be a bunch of timings there, but you only need to change 4. I forget what they are called, but I know the main one, that mostly effects overclocking is the CAS Latency. Loosening yours from 2.5 to 3 can make your overclock more stable.

the big typhoon will have worse temps than the liquid cooling (im a tt sucker i buy all their CRAP) but yeah some as5 should fix up those temps thats way hot for even the bigwater kit...oh and what happens when u put too much as5 on...cuz i globbed on more than a rice dot of my artic silver and as for the timings when people talk about timings like 3-4-4-8 or 2.5-2-2-6 or something to that nature here are what numbers they are talking about in order 1st:Cas # Latency 2nd: Ras # to Cas # 3rd: Ras # precharge 4th: Cycle Time ... so just look for those in your memory options in your bios.

Okay, I just got home and did a quick 3 minute orthos stress test to quickly show you my temps and then I took screen shots of my CPU-Z info. With my CNPS9500, i can pull 2.74Ghz out of my Manchester with 1.45-1.48V and with pretty tight RAM timings. I'm also getting load temps of 47-50C and idle temps of 31-34C. All in all, I'm pretty happy with my OC but I KNOW it can go farther since I've taken it there but heat is an issue which I am taking care of with custom WCing next month. Once again, if you need any help, feel free to ask.

Hey how much was your water cooling setup? I have the same CPU, and when I get a new MOBO I'm going to look into OCing. If it isn't that costly, I will go ahead and order a water cooling setup with the MOBO.

Mine is going to cost me around 350 total since I'm upgrading the NB Cooler(just an air one) while i'm at it. It's the Swiftech Apex Ultra kit and then i'm getting the MCW60-B VGA Cooler off of this place called Sidewinder Computers. Either that its a WC rig ira-k recommended to me

Here's the link if you're interested: http://sidewindercomputers.com/swh2edukit.html
