I am also new to overclocking but I have had a pretty good result from my 3800+. I think it is a pretty good overclock since I am stuck living off of some Corsair ValueSelect RAM. At the moment I am really trying to get some better cooling for my case since I get like 34C-36C idle and almost around 50C underload. I am planning on getting a 120mm and two 80mm case fans in the near future.
OMG! How do you manage such a low VCore with such a high clock!?! Man... I have mine pushed to 2.8Ghz on 1.52V!

Don't ask me...
I could lower it a bit more but then it becomes unstable but still usable in most situations. But it is someone odd since if I were to try to up the core speed to get about 2.75GHz I would need to increase the VCore to around or close to 1.45ish but I rather not attempt that with the "not so great" cooling which I have right now.
