[Build log] BiXeon Project V2.0

Thread Starter

hello biggrin.gif

after endless worklog on my sr-2 system, finally i got a case that i can work with.
in the old worklog i tried to build a custom case (finished, but sold), and i thought to go with external WC.
but, the best solution arrived few days ago: the LD PC-V8.

this is the time to watercool my system

link to the old worklog: http://www.overclock.net/t/1262692/bixeon-project-lot-of-pics

the tiny Z70 ...

some rads

thickness compression :

probably, i'll use the the TFC360 for the GPU loop in the bottom of the case.
the GTX360 will be at the top for the CPU's, and the 120 rad will cool the MB & RAM.

i would like to hear your advice, i got 2 D5 pumps and 2 355 pumps, what be the best rad-pump combos? (for the 3 loops)

what do you think about 7/16 - 5/8 tubing? i suffered enough with the 1/2-3/4.

all i need to get is blocks for the GPU's, some fittings, tubing and other accessories.

thanks.

I am a big fan of the 3/8 x 5/8 tubing I think it also bends very well and doesn't look to large. Also I would go with a 480 up top you have the space unless budget is concerned. I like the LD caes they are very nice and you have plenty of room for growth even with a SR-2. Im suprised B NEGATIVE has not found this thread yet I am sure he will eventually give his two cents.

Also Subbed.

i found today some extra time to play with my case, to see how the parts setting all together.

i'll be happy to hear your advice as well biggrin.gif

as i said before:

CPU Loop: 2X EK LT UNI Block's en nickle with plexi top on GTX 360 Rad , MCP355 pump.
GPU Loop: dual TFC 360 on dual MCP655 pump , i'm not sure about the cards, maybe i'll upgrade the GTX580, or keep them till the next generation.
MB Loop: EK SR-2 block (duck block) with EK RAM Block (nickle - plexi top) on single 120 thermochill rad powered by MCP355 pump.

as i found today - the V8 isn't that big after all, and the dual bottom rads is a PITA.
the space i have is only 21.5CM. so - i cant use 2 90 degree fittings on the rads:

the solution is:

now, i'm considering where to place the MB RAD: the options:
1. the exhaust
2. HDD cage
3. bottom front or back (under the PSU with special bracket)
4.add the block to the GPU or the CPU loop

maybe 240?

useful fill ports: (pass throw)

what to use?

bonus pic: smile.gif

help me decide what to do with the MB loop.

@ B NEGATIVE - great build! i've read all your worklog wink.gif

moar progress:

i went to the acryl shop toady, to check the possibility of creating 2 plates to this build made of 3MM (1/8") black acrylic

first plate:
middle section cover (to much holes, and i prefer the black piano finish)
this is how it's look:

this is the cover i'll make:

second plate:
as you can see, i bought a used case, and some of the parts are missing (5.25 cover, some standoff, and the HDD cover)
so, i want to replace it with pretty big cover, all over the 5.25 +3.5 bays, and it also hide the radiator as well, 8CM from the case top.

new cover:

i also bought:

much clear now...

yes, this is 4 meter of crystal pipe, 12MM OD, 10MM ID... all i need now is BP adapters.

more - will come soon

i still want to hear your opinions about the 3 loops.

super nice acrylic pipes - very nice touch smile.gif

Very nice going to look very sexy when finished keep it coming. 3 loops sounds like it would be a bit cluttered around the MB do you have any schematics on how your going to run the pipes?
