I've tested with furmark to see difference between level 1 and level 3 with h100. Ambient temp 24 C



You can see the decrease in temps switching to level 1 to 3 at middle point. Level 1 reaches up to 47 and level 3 decreases to 42 C .

Heaven test with level 3 ambient temp 24 C



40 C temp with heaven test and the gap between furmark and heaven 2 C . I mentioned that furmark and heaven were the same but i see 2 C difference cause the ambient temp was different i guess when i tested each . Sorry about that but anyways i mentioned the gap will be max 3 C before and now we see clearly it is 2 C.

Yes, thanks for the explanation man! But theoretically, there shouldn't be any difference between the two tests, right?

Absolutely no smile.gif Check out the % TDP and core speed at each test. Gpu load indicates %99 both but that doesn't mean gpu loaded with the same process.After a break up point no matter what extra load you add gpu load will be still %99. Kombustor and Furmark adds excessive load to gpu. I remember my old gtx 580, it usually shows 60 Amperage at load ( 3dmark or oc scanner x) but when i test at furmark or kombustor it shows 90 A. Extra 30 A to the GPU. Do the math smile.gif

Yeah. What I meant actually is if, let's say, a cooling system is rated up to 325W then the load temps of, for example, 300W and 325W should be very close to each other, right? Theoretically, there should no be difference.

yea, thats funy, b/c i just have mine on an antec kuhler 620, (msi r670) highest i ever see is 41c, (crysis2)

you know if you don't specify your room temp your max temp is completely pointless. Let's see what your card do with furmark test ok ? Post the results then we'll talk later

Tried this mod a couple of weeks back with poor results (probably uneven pressure from the ties) with my H80 and HD7950 but after seeing this I'm inclined to try again.

Did you use a shim, like this EK one? The 79X0 cards have a support plate around the GPU core that is at the same level and need a shim in order to get enough mounting pressure on the GPU core.
