[Build Log] Treaded Holes - CaseLabs Merlin ST10 w/c build - Z77X-UP7 - Page 7

All good infos, but how do you see the differences in the painting of the rad ? All I see are the fingerprints - shoulda grabbed some baggies - and that stupid scratch.

And here's the UP7 in the case - buggered the tray a bit, managed to snap a standoff - had 2 holes that would not thread ... I had to take the rear PCI panel off - wow, they aren't kidding when CL says its all screwed together !

Can you spot the missing standoff ?

ahh, someone requested larger pix so they wouldn't have to click on them. Funny thing is, I've been resizing them to 800px in height on the last couple days, but even when they're full size, they're still clickable !

I hadn't noticed that new release, sorta like the dual lock on the ram, with a gap. I prefer this - without having tried the card - that comes in this week - style over the old slip the catch sideways ... with the bigger cards, it can be difficult to get a hold of that release latch - I know I busted one on my old gigabyte board with a gtx 260.

I've got the picture size set to 1920 x 1080 - that's a one size fits all, mostly, these days. I'll refrain from resizing and go back to bandwidth saving style of posting

THanks ! I'll take that compliment ! ... Not sure but when I click on my pix above, it pops up, but its still the same size - I took out the resizing code - those pix are 800 pixel in height from when I cropped them.

as far as cam skills go, you've got em. I've always enjoyed your detailed work photos, but that comes from detailed work ! ok, how bout this ? try some tripod shots - esp if you have a short tripod. That way you can get the from below shots, or angled shots - that always breaks up the monotony of portrait shots. Your build certainly has pizazz and flash - I know that having the room to set up photo shoots is a bear - about the only thing I can see that I benefit from this Canon Rebel so far, is its superior stabilization, its focus, its 18mp cam, and its manually focusable lens. I haven't even begun to touch its capabilities. But I can't get over the amount of dust - I'm capping shots as jpegs for now, dont know how to do the raw. It already takes over an hour to shoot and crop and upload the pix.


LoL ! don't torture yourself, bud - grass is always copperish on the other side ! I liked what cpachris was doing, but copper just isn't in the cards for me this time around.


Hope that helps some, it wasn't what I was thinking it was going to look like, but I've bought my ticket ! CaseLabs cases let you dream about a build in just about every model, don't they ?



Cool ! PCModderMike shows up ! My main influence when I built the Switch for my buddy - luvd those Gelid blue fans adn the loop, and the different versions of your build as you progressed thru it. One of the first and earliest to mod a Switch - and now your current Silverstone build - again, making those subtle changes that really makes that build swim Welcome - i can only hope that I do make a mark with this build.
