Source is trash, feels like your playing in jello of some sort, movements feel to soft. I've played GO and that compares to 1.6 other than the recoil.

Ive been playing source since 06 and haven't looked back.

I was away for a year then i returned recently and finally i am scrimmin a lot so i can play other maps besides dust2 lol

I yes i agree that GO reminds me of 1.6 but i have no desire to adjust to GO because i am so use to source.

Well there you go, you're used to CS:S while a couple of us are used to 1.5/1.6.

I would assume any 1 who played 1.6 would have moved on to source but Ive realized over the years that isn't the case.

Nope, had it when it first released, and uninstalled it, Went back to 1.6. Just played the pro mod, and it feels like old times haha!!

Wish this would have a resurgence. CSS is terrible and CSGO is just ridiculous. If Im gonna play CSGO, I might as well play CoD.

Agreed. My best counter-strike memories were from CS 1.0 to 1.5. After that, there was a small peak in 1.6 and then it all went into the gutter with source and the fall of the community that was around CS. ProMod has a horrific community packed with whiners when I first started looking when they started up. The group tweaks the game to their liking, appealing mainly to tactics and skill play of their choosing. In other words, they nerf what they don't like and buff what they is appealing to their play style. I don't support that in competitive play. That's hardly refreshing, dynamic, or enjoyable. If you have to sit there and follow the same strats each game, where everything is merely text book plays, then the finantics might enjoy it, but it is not suitable for competitive play.

I don't know what they are like now, but I won't be looking at this. GO already combines the good from both 1.6 and Source but has such horrific net code and a fountain of other match-making bugs, a start of a community split because of it, etc., that is making it die. It really sucks, GO had a lot of potential, and once they get their servers fixed to mimic that similar to what CEVO (?) offers then I'm sure it start to jump back up.

Counter-strike needs a good refresh. The community is far too old. It needs what SC2 did for SC1 and GO has that potential and already offers it, but Valve just needs to get their crap together. They still need to add a few more game play elements, I think. What they offered isn`t enough but at least it is a start over what it has been for the past, what, over a decade now...

Ever since I got into BF3, I don't find steam games to be any fun. I tried to play CSS yesterday and I couldn't even stand the game for 2 minutes because of the slow movements of the character. I think BF3 ruined my taste for other games frown.gif .
