sceptre X37SV 1080p 37" for pc?

Thread Starter
Well, since my recent upgrade to 2 8800gtx's in sli, im thinking it may be time for a monitor upgrade!

Right now im using an olevia at 1280x720, it looks pretty good, but i want to get the most out of my rig.

This monitor can do 1920x1080, which would be a hugh increase.
But my question is, should i change to this monitor, or maybe go with the dell 30" that has the 2560x1600 res?

I will be playing some demanding games, such as oblivion, fear, and the new crysis when its released.

thanks in advance!!!

I'd get the Dell. When running SLI 8800GTX's, nothing is demanding in my opinion

The Sceptre would have been nice when you had a single 8800GTX ...

Also, realize that 2560x1600 on 30" would look a whole lot better than 1920x1080 on a 37" screen (lower resolution on larger surface...).

Go for the highest resolution!

Actually it wouldnt look that bad on a 37" at that resolution, I have a res of 1360x768 and it doesnt look like crap on a 32" and I sit about 2ft away when gaming.

I would say the Scepter is just Fine really. No need to dish out for a Dell.

Point is that he has all that power.... which will go to waste on the relatively low resolution of the Sceptre in my opinion

His choice of course..

I'm going to agree with Chozart. Higher resolution means more detail which will make use of all that power. Also isn't 37 inches for a monitor going a little to far?

But yea, it's your choice ultra. Get what you like.

the thing is the dell is more $, no financing, smaller screen, but with no mods to my cabinet, higher res
the sceptre is cheaper, 6 months no payments, but would have to raise up the cabinet.

i think the sceptre may be the best choice, unless dell comes out with a better financing plan, or a good coupon.
