MultiThreaded Mayhem MTMII 2013: $1000 in cash prizing! And Motherboards! - Page 134

If the computer was outside long enough to get cold, it could have gotten condensation when taken back inside. If you walked in and proceded to plug it in and turn it on, that little condensation could have shorted something.

Most likely the previous owner overheated the chip.

Now can we get back to the benchmark competition? I wanna see some more FX results!!!

Me too! I think Alatar will be working on FX subs if he gets the time . As for me, I think I have reached the limit of what I'm willing to do with my 8350 as far as wprime goes. I have a few things I would like to try with it as far as improving my vantage score smile.gif .

Something weird happened. Cpu score on patriot 1333mhz 7-8-7-24 was better than on G.Skill RipjawsX 1600mhz 8-8-8-24.After some tweaks ripjaws gived better score.

I really hope now that we have $1000 instead of $500 we can split up the prizes so maybe people up to 8th get it instead of just up to 5th?

So my efforts to pick up a secondary GPU resulted in me buying another 660 ti rolleyes.gif

I'll be sure to grab a cheap one tomorrow... then I'll throw my extra FX6100 in the freezer biggrin.gif Any tips on how to prep the system? Should I worry about anything? I don't think I'll close the door on the freezer... I was thinking of sitting in on a piece of thick cardboard and putting in on a shelf with no ice... using the stock cooler from my 8350 and my Delta 3900rpm fan zip tide to it. Any flags go off with that setup?
