Well, that was stupid of me.

Also, you posted my first attempt in the image link, not my final one.

Yes they do. I'm already pushing 1.64v in bios on air and I feel like I can squeeze just a bit more out of her. My mind is saying "hell no!" but something makes my finger twitch every time i go into bios.Might have to give in and go the setfsb route.

I know how you feel. Last night I was cranking up the voltage on my unlocked 960T, had a great clock going hit the start button on a program and " blink" ........ black screen.
I waited a bit for the restart that never came. Then I hit the power button.. hmm no go , nothing, I thought uh oh... finally blew something up while overclocking. I then looked at the back of my rig, the power supply led was yellow not it's normal green when on , or red when the rig is off. It's an Etasis 750 watt unit, so I assumed It had plenty of ooomph, but it appears that i sent it into overcurrent protection, is that possible? At any rate i toggled the power switch on the psu and I was back in business , whew. biggrin.gif
Gonna test it again with a seasonic gold 750 watt rig maybe it will appease the cpu gods

I really don't know if I should try for 4.9 or higher I think I'm about there as far as this chip can go for my config.

5.9 GHz on a core i7... You deserve applause.
