Thanks for the compliments guys. I've only been OCing as a hobby for a couple months, but I've done an assload of reading and try to make the best out of a fairly low budget. ( I also quietly joined the overclock.net team on HWbot a couple weeks ago)

About the outside thing...I live in Montana and it's been sub 0c here lately. I had my rig outside last night and it went exceedingly poorly. It's my belief that the thermal compound was freezing and losing ability to transfer heat properly. Is this possible and/or probable, or is there something else going on? I had Arctic Cooling MX-4 on it. I was idling around 0-1c, but upon load it would jump to normal temp, then almost immediately went through the roof. I black screened, then upon restart my temp in BIOS quickly rose to 100c. Anyone have experience/input with this?

wow you have big problems then if you got 100C at 0C ambient.

ALSO, If I do a slushbox, do i need to insulate processor?

I found a 3100 RPM fan at a surplus store today; I wonder how much more I will be able to OC with this.
