Prolly just a C state being on.

Read the rules. They specifically address this.

I thought c states just down clocked the processor at idle.

C states save power. Wouldn't really save power if all it did was downclock but leave the voltage at 1.4 or whatever you have it set at.

So no, C states also lower voltage.

Oh, that's what you meant. That sounds a lot more reasonable now.

The voltage on my CPU never drops with C states enabled. I thought you had to use DVID to do that.

On another note what does PhysX do?
I just re-ran 3d mark, but with it ON this time, and the score was extremely similar to my one with it OFF:

Submitted one:

Edit:
Please put both entrants in, seeing as physX, as confirmed by others after cannot be enabled anyway, as I'm using the free version of 3d

I would have expected it to give you a much higher score on the physics part of the test. Strange.

Exactly...it lagged SO MUCH at the airplanes bit of the test....is there something I'm missing here...?
I would not be surprised if 3D mark hates me...
