Guess i just missed the update by a few minutes biggrin.gif
post #863 of 1709

dunno why folks are clocking RAM for wprime..wth.gif it does not help efficiency for this bench

*small update for me in Intel 4t.. better 32mil efficiency..

CL3P20 i just upped the ram from 2133 to 2400MHz from my last bench and the times improved so OC the ram does something i guess wink.gif

Im moving 200+mhz in RAM speeds on seeing nothing other than normal fluctuation from OS.. I can open wprime.. run and close and run again and see similar results.. so I was chalking this as a 'flop' .. could be something platform related though. Will have to test on my IB

*could be divider related too with RAM on IB

No, that could have come from anywhere. A picture of the two CPUs, and maybe add a piece of paper with your forum name....

4.6 GHz is about the maximum I can get with this noctua fan. Good thing I have a server fan sitting on my desk. biggrin.gif

Here's a pic of my rig. My actual camera died, so I am just using a cell phone.

I had issues too. For some odd reason XP would not boot from CD,kept giving me either no mbr or out of memory issue. So booted from Vista disc, created a partition and mbr on my blank drive without installing.Turned it off, chucked in the XP disc and it loaded perfect from there.

Updated! Forget how to spell you forum name? tongue.gif

Please update the OP when you can smile.gif!

You have me pulling my hair out! So many screenshots.... Most those were not valid, missing CPUz memory tab. I updated the fastest 'valid' screenshot.

I forgot I put hpet of again, and it froze as I tried to run it again. Doing it now with it enabled I'll track back here with those results smile.gif

Out of interest, what would you select anyway, gpu/cpu or auto?

EDIT:
Here it is:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/4522798

=P31473

(a lower score than one of my previous ones)
I thus can CONFIRM that physX does not play ANY part on the GPU, whilst using 3D Mark Vantage

Not everyone here is playing with the newest download of Vantage from Futuremark. If I see PPU used in the details, its not getting entered. Rule stays!

If not, I would gladly bow out of one of the classes rather than jeopardize the integrity of what is a great competition.

Thank you sir. You're back in!

Please, if contestants can keep their updates limited to 1 per day, that would be awesome! There is no real limitation for updates, it just makes it tons easier on me. Wait until you're about to log off, then update. 3-4 updates in a few hours, is a little bit much. If its the last day of the competition, I don't care, but we got two weeks left guys. Plenty of time. biggrin.gif
