hi,
finally got my computer in a state im quite content with:

Whole view

MB closeup
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/OC_files/DSCF1355.JPG
Front look
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/OC_files/DSCF1357.JPG

at stock speeds the cpu idles at -18C! which is awsome and 5C loaded
at the moment (2.7Ghz) it idles at -10C and 15C loaded
and the TEC has let me beat my previous best of OC'in and let me hit 3Ghz being 5C idle and 32 loaded

What im running:
Cooling: 320W pelt off a astek 500W PSU (2 12V rails parrelleled for max current) so i spoze it won be quite at the max rated 320W but i aint complaining, you should have seen the ugly radio power supply it was sapping 15V off before!

Danger Den D5 pump - just got this bollocks water around compared to my D400 TT one!

Danger Den TDX - beast

Dont know who made the pretty heatsinked resevoir

2 TT gpu water blocks - cheap n chearfull

rest of the kit is from the TT bigwater 745 (120 rad and 240 rad)

AMD 939 4800+ @ 3Ghz
2x Asus E6600GT
2x 1Gb Corsair XMS Pros
1x 150Gb raptor
1x 74Gb raptor
1x 300Gb maxtor
2x 160Gb Ide's

well firstly if you didnt know, the underside of the motherboard socket should be lightly sealed, I cant remember the 'poly' whatever 'thene' name for the sheet of rubbery stuff but i cheekily used a new mousemat, might be the same stuff anyway:

slap dielectric grease all over the socket area whip the rubbery matting on and then i used clear silicone sealent around the edges to make it air tight
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/computer/Photo-0065.jpg

next i baught a big block of styrofoam (easily carvable) carved it around the bits on my motherboard and made a slot for the pelt n copper plates:
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/computer/Photo-0066.jpg
(next pic isnt what it ended up looking like! lol i didnt take a pic of the final thing before it went on , it was alot smoother than this ! :
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/computer/Photo-0067.jpg

i baught copper plates for both sides of the pelt to get more even heat distributionand prevent parts of the pelt from not having any contact surface:
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/computer/Photo-0068.jpg

smear dielectric grease over the cpu socket holes, worrying but neccesary to avoid rusty pins aparently, smear alot of grease on the board where the foam will go and put it on. put the pelt in , dielecric it all up and put on the water block:
http://www.leelambhomes.co.uk/computer/Photo-0069.jpg
(my orignal waterblock)
all surfaces lapped by the way

and this is why i got rid of the radio power supply and got the spacious stacker case!!! :

Very Nice, let us know if you still don't have any condensation problems in a few days.

Thats the only thing that worries me about pelt cooling a precious cpu. An x1900xtx of mine condensed up once overnight. It was because my pelt block has a second set of holes for the two-hole gpu mount. I forgot to cover and grease them up the first time.

Thank you for the pics! I will be certain to use a similar methodology in my build

I'll take pics as well, in the hopes to give a definitive TEC/Pelt insulation and installation guide Thanks for the pics and explanations!
