CPUID

I set the settings according to manufacturers specs.
The only other settings I'm not sure about is
'Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 39 clocks
'Command Rate (CR) 2T

This is my new memory! biggrin.gif
Thanks for any tips!

I'm running prime 95 currently to check stability for some passes.
Later I'll run mem tests.

If everything is stable I'll just leave as is. I'll do some research later too.

Well, games run smoother. No more tearing in CS GO and COD MW3 at least.
So I guess everything is fine. Actually A LOT better.
Memory upgrade has really made a difference in my rig!

I did use GSkill ripjaws 1333MHz, 1.5v. Pretty, but not enough bandwidth for my setup.

Haven't run any other tests. Only ran P95 one pass.

What voltage on the memory? If you have those timings verified stable then I would try changing command rate to 1T (lower latency). Might have to bump the voltage, you should be safe up to 1.65v for 24/7 use.

Then you should look into increasing your CPU/NB speed (or IMC,internal memory controller). Phenoms see a huge overall system increase with the CPU/NB runnning 2600MHz+. May need a bump in the CPU/NB voltage,1.4v is my usual 24/7 voltage target, even though it's technically safe to 1.55v. Just make sure your cooling is adequate as it will increase CPU temps.

Your CPU should also be able to get close to 4.0GHz without much voltage increase.

Thanks a ton for the info! My volts for the memory are at 1.5.
Another member of the family won't get off CSS GO currently so I'll get back on this and work on the tweaking a little later.

Will get back... Thanks again! specool.gif
