DDR400 @ DDR333 memory timings

I have 2 1GB DDR400 sticks running at DDR333 frequency. The memory timings at DDR400 speed are 2-3-2-5. Can I run faster timings at the lower frequency and what would you recommend to start off with.

Which sticks?

I had some Patriot PC3200 rated at those timings and it pushed up to like 250 2.5-3-3-6

Not sure which sticks they are. I put them in 3 to 4 years ago. They might be gskill.

I'd just run them at 400 and see if you can get away with 2-2-2-5 1T

I can't run them any higher than 333 right now. Should I go with 2-2-2-5 1T @ 333?

The sticks should support that.
What platform are you running them on for a 333 limitation?

Asrock p4i65g
Intel i865
Pentium 4 northwood 2.8ghz 533
I'm stepping up to a northwood 3.4ghz 800 in a couple weeks and will be able to run the memory at 400. Btw it runs very stable with the higher ras# to cas#. Thanks for your input.
