I7 3930k Gigabyte G1 Assassin 2 Overclocking

Thread Starter
I have an oc of 4.6 with a vcore of 1.41 and multi of 45. I ran Intel burn test and failed at the 6th cycle of my first run. My temps never got above 60c. What can I do to get this stable? Should I increase the vcore? Multi? Decrease? Is there another setting I should be looking at?

System specs: 3930k, Gigabyte G1 Assassin 2 mobo, 1600mhz Patriot G series ram on XMP profile 1, watercooled cpu but not ram.

Also, I have looked for good oc guides for this mobo but cant find many. Youtube is my best source since I learn best when I see video of the process. If anyone has a good Youtube video suggestion, I'd love to hear it.

I'd Search/PM Sin0822 if I were you. He is the resident Gigabyte Guru on this forum and his personal rig uses the same Mobo(w/3960X).

I would avoid BCLK overclocking as that's more trouble than it's worth half the time. Stick to a BCLK of 100 and just alter the CPU multi.

A reasonable guide to cover the basics:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX4P8YYUiGg
