Verdict so far:

Its just the right size, just a little bigger than my Razer Exact Mat, high quality finish, the logos are a lot more subtle in real life, almost metallic they look fantastic! Have only tried the speed side so far, the graphic is really growing on me, looks so good with my XTD!!!

Congrats. thumb.gif Nice mouse / mat marriage. biggrin.gif

I still have some questions about roccat kone pure... could you please tell me how's it's height? it's like savu's, higher\lower? I looked at roccat's page but couldn't find it...also how is the scrollwheel. is it mechanical? does it make some kind of sound?
Thanks and sorry for those questions (i'm trying to see if the shops around my area have them on stock, because i don't want to order it before seeing it..)
Also does alumic feels like steelseries 4\9hd when you glide the mouse on it? I had a 4hd but i couldn't use it for too long because it was just too fast and i couldn't be precise...

Thanks again smile.gif

I cant answer the question about height, but I can say that the scroll wheel is mechanical, meaning it has a noticeable "ratchet" mechanic in it. You can feel each turn of the wheel. It doesnt make a sound like logitech scroll wheels do, but it's VERY high quality. This is from my experience on the kone XTD, which has the same wheel as the pure.

Hi crazyg0od33,

thanks for your reply, well i just remembered, kone pure, could have the same mechanical scroll as savu, if so it maybe start to make some noise after some usage.
I had 2 savu's and both started to make some noise some days of use (after i posted, someone told me it's a normal noise, but i didn't like the noise it made, also Skylit said he had tried some savu and it didn't made any noise.. but it's strange since i bought from different stores, maybe a "faulty" batch arrived at my country).
if i remember right, it was a bit difficult to scroll up or down, it was a bit stiffer..
I'm trying to get all the data i can so i don't make the same mistake when i bought savu (they didn't refund me at the store, so i had to change for another thing.,..)
Once again thanks for your help smile.gif

its not the same wheel as the savu...its a brand new "titan scroll wheel" exclusive to the Pure and XTD. It's also got tilt left and right while the savu doesnt.
It's not the same, so it wont start making noise like the savu does.
Kone Pure does not have the same wheel feeling as the Kone XTD and also not the same wheel as the Savu. Noteworthy is that Kone XTD has a 4d wheel and Kone Pure/Savu have not.

All three use a mechanical rotary encoder and try to have a tactile feedback for a single "step". Those steps also create a certain noise, but that is not what some savu users refer to.

The encoder used (the component itself) is the same for Savu and Kone pure (and Lua), however the mechanical design is not.
