There is no components editor so as moderator of this section I made it official!

I couldnt care less in dota 2 but would probably mind in competitve fps (especially if i read/know about that issue present, no matter if i do/do not notice).

Best judge for yourself.
I play both Dota2 and CSGO now, and yeah, in Dota2 I couldn't care less. In CSGO, i do notice it, but it doesnt make a difference that I can't stand, it's barely noticeable, and I use about 45cm/360º. I bet if I didn't know about it's existence, I wouldn't notice it

I tried testing for it but I cannot really tell..all I know if my shooting is getting very sharp and accurate biggrin.gif

BTW, just getting a replacement as mine seems to have an issue when using the distance option.

I just thought of something interesting....the MX518 I bought at Frys when I lived in Texas many years ago and oddly enough that is the store that I could find the Kone XTD to buy from of all places now living in Utah. Is my mouse store I guess biggrin.gif
They actually raised the price on it so my previously reported low price is no more.

Hi Roccat users

I have had the kone+ for a year and a half but the left button and left tilt broke.

Since feature wise the XTD is the best mouse I can find I need to ask about the advertised :

"CLICK WITH KILLER PRECISION
The Kone XTD features ROCCAT™ Click Master switch tech – powered by Omron©. Constructed with the world’s most advanced switch components, Click Master technology ensures that every button press registers with extreme precision. Every click also delivers pronounced feedback, letting you feel your way to successful gaming. And because of its premium materials and construction, ROCCAT™ Click Master switch tech provides you with the longest life of hardcore gaming, click after click. "

Any of you with experience with previous roccat mice and this one : do you see a difference?

I mean that all sounds like marketing words about how the XTD is more durable and has higher quality buttons, or could it be that they actually improved the build quality?

Do owners see any evidenve to that effect?

Some questions:
Savu - lots of people have said that this mouse is uncomfortable with large hands. To those using it that find it comfortable, what size are your hands? Would you recommend it for someone who can barely grip a basketball?
@Andmygun & Ino. Has the pinky pain gone away?

Kone Pure questions:
Anyone using a cloth mouse pad? Have you had issues with precision because of it? My budget is a bit thin and I don't have 40$ to drop on a mouse pad along with a mouse. I'm also in northern Utah and it get's cold in the winter. I'm wondering how bad cloth messes up the sensor.
What grip does it support?
Would you recommend the pure for someone who can barely grip a basketball?

I'm looking for a replacement for my Gigabyte M8000X that died on me after 2 years. The sensor has gone on the fritz. After 5 times of taking it apart, including cutting and resoldering the wire, I'm afraid it's not salvageable. I don't particularly love the mouse, so I'm not going to buy the same one again. The M8000X used the A9500 sensor, which has me concerned about buying another mouse that uses the same sensor. That pretty much cuts out the Kone[+].

I never found the m8000X to be particularly comfortable. It has to do with the mouse hump being centered in the middle rather than at the end. It doesn't leave a nice spot to rest the hand on, but the mouse is too long to rest my hand on the mouse pad. I literally have to suspend my entire hand above the mouse and hold it there while playing. I primary play Starcraft, and am prone to play 8 hours a day, so I would really like to get something more comfortable. Most people recommend a fingertip grip for RTS games and a DPI of 800.

Having used the m8000X for so long, I've gotten used to gaming at 5200 DPI. I recently cut it back to about 3200 due to RSI strain, but dropping down to 1600 just feels too slow. I could probably get used to 2000 DPI if I had to. Most optical mouses seem very limited on their DPI options which has my leaning towards another laser sensor. I'm a bit torn between optical, which seems to have the best tracking on a cloth mouse pad, and laser, which has the DPI I'm used to.

Should I go with a Roccat mouse? If so, between the Pure and the Savu, what would you recommend?
My location doesn't have any stores selling Roccat mice, which means I can't test out the grip before buying. Any insight on hand size and comfort level would be appreciated. Thanks!

Concerning the pinky pain: the problem was that my pinky is resting flat against the side. This is ok now, but it would still be better for me if the back part of the mouse would be a bit rounded so the pinky could be arched. I'm sure this is no problem for people who claw this mouse, but I'm palming it. It's also not really a problem of the hand size. I think my hand is around 20cm from base of palm to middle finger tip, can't measure exactly as I don't have a ruler here (am on holidays) but maybe that helps to compare.

Honestly, it's ok to play with it now as long as I don't play 5h in a single session, but it is not the most comfortable mouse. It has the most awesome sensor performance though which is why I'm sticking with it.

Oh btw: at your desired CPI I would NOT recommend the Savu. It really shines at 400 and 800 CPI but 1600 and especially 4000 CPI are considerably worse in terms of max tracking rates (~4.2 m/s at 800 compared to 1.25 m/s at 4000). If that is no problem for you it's ok I guess, sensor accuracy is still nice: http://imgur.com/a/zmvha

Hi guys, I'm interested in buying the roccat sota mousepad, is that mousepad really improves tracking of the kone pure ? ( Means no noticeable Acceleration , jitter , or prediction)

I'm using kone pure for some graphical works and fps gaming , here in Indonesia the roccat Alumic is pretty expensive , biggrin.gif my pocket won't allow me to buy that thing ,

Sorry for my bad english, I'm still learning ,
