Hey, I'm looking at the ROCCAT Savu mouse for my new ASUS G55. However, it will come with windows 8 installed and I need confirmation on if the drivers will be compatible (its not listed as windows 8 compatible).

EDIT: Also, is the ROCCAT Kova+ compatible with windows 8? If yes, which one do you like better?

Got both my rigs on Windows 8 64bit, both have Savu's firmware 1.24 with no issues running. Main rig running Savu / Win 8 since the end of January, about five months now. thumb.gif

Edit - see it's your first post. Welcome to OCN biggrin.gif

The software of both named mice is working on Windows 8. If you plan to use the default "Windows Defender" you might have to set exceptions for the software or changes might not be applied properly but other than that it will work as on every other Windows system.

Does anyone have problems with the macros on the Savu?
I play Guild Wars 2 and use photoshop and I can't seem to get my macros to register correctly in either of them. They record fine and supposedly playback fine, but instead of doing what I recorded there's just flickering. I made sure my delays inbetween commands were appropriate too... frown.gif

Hi,

could you give me an example of one of the macros that don't work in PS or GW2?

Just picked up a Kone Pure yesterday, I thought the Savu was a great mouse if not a little uncomfortable because of the texture, but wow the Kone Pure is fantastic. Perfect size for me (I like smaller mice and have been a big fan of the G9x, Ec2, etc.) but this is one great mouse. I wish we could get this same shape with the Savu's sensor!

The build quality on both of these roccat mice has been fantastic. I am continually impressed. I'll probably be picking up the new mech keyboard whenever I find one. You've made a fan.

Hey I got my ROCCAT Savu and theres only one problem. I set a function so when I scroll up with easyshift it hits the - key and when I scroll down with easyshift it hits the + key. This is for a game, to swap weapons. However, it only works occasionally.

EDIT: I set up a macro and managed to getting it working a little better. However I still have an issue where I have to scroll a lot to get it to swap rather than one tick.

Hi Wolf.

please try to use the "assign a shortcut" function in the drop down menu of the used buttons instead of a macro. Should work much better this way.
