Thank you, this answers my questions.

Surely the Sensei is a candidate. But I have to look into reports of an issue with older Linux kernels, right side buttons block the mouse temporarily.

I will post a more general question outside this thread.

Thanks a lot to both HereIsJohnny and end0rphine.

I recently got a Roccat Kone XTD and have setup the mouse with Roccat's software, but it doesnt seem to load up automatically on windows start up. So it looks like each time I want to play a game, I have to load the software then the game.

Can anyone point me to where I might select automatically start with windows?

This is a great mouse, but Roccat's support on their website is terrible.

Another question,

In BF3, for example, how do I make use of all the buttons on the mouse. For example, the scroll wheel when I press it left or right or when I click it. BF3 registers nothing when I do this. In the Roccat software I mapped some of the mouse buttons to keyboard keys but when I assign them in BF3, nothing happens.

Yes if you make a shortcut of the Roccat software into your start folder it sould start up

But i think somewhere in the software you can set it to turn on with Windows

Hmmm, thanks. Any idea where in the software it might be? I scoured it for a while last night and couldn't locate it. It seems like to apply profiles it would need to start up automatically.

Hi ambtr,

If you check msconfig (start, run, "msconfig") startup tab, do you see an entry for the ROCCAT Kone XTD Mouse, linking to the KoneXTDMonitor.exe in the driver folder?

Actually the Monitor should be started on boot of windows and automatically detect the mouse if it is connected.

You should see in the SysTray a ROCCAT logo if this worked. If you see the logo there is no need to start the software before the game.

I don't like msconfig. I prefere MS Autoruns(/Process Explorer) or even CCE Autoruns(/Killswitch). Cause you really see all Autoruns, more details like network and storage bytes I/O, also can check on new entries etc, on CCE especially you can see directly if something is known malware, ... and on SSD it doesn't take long to load.

Anyway: on that topic: check with these tools if you see such an autostart. Of non - create one/do repair installation/... Else/Additional if it still fails to start - check Event Viewer. That's a great source to detect problems. If that leads to some generic problem you can try to debug. I already had such a case and could solve it following instructions at http://www.winvistaside.de/forum/index.php?showtopic=4226&hl=debug (remark: german language - so may you auto-translate or find a similar site).

Could you also post the information visible for users who care about privacy and avoid facebook? (Btw. don't say you could use dummy account, might even hack one ... the point is - should be able to get all the informations without beeing on FB at all, don't need it in my life)

Don't bother, it is essentially a voting type contest that has been going on for a while now.

Hey guys. Joined the club a while back, and I have a question concerning the Roccat Driver/Program. (For the Kova [+] to be exact)

Simply put, is there a way to assign the mouse LED colour to the profiles? I've tried to achieve this all afternoon to no avail.

Created 2 profiles and assigned a button combo for profile up/down switch. This works no problem. The colour selected in the drive also switched in the "Advanced Option" menu when the profiles are switched, according to how I've "saved" them.

However the actual led colour on the mouse does not change. It only changes when I'm in the drive program, be in the Advanced Option menu, change the colour, and click Apply/OK for the colour change to happen.

I know this function is but a small concern, but I would like to know if it's something achievable or the mouse/driver is limited in how they were programmed.

Any advice would be good, thanks. redface.gif
