Hey guys - just got my brand new Savu in from NeweggFlash. It's amazing, but does the optical not work too great on an aluminum pad? Until I put it on top of a magazine, it wouldnt even move the cursor on my black mionix ensis

No - optical is lousy to non-functional on the Mionix Ensis black aluminum. My cursor is dead in the water on top of that mouse pad.

I mentioned that before somewhere in this club or perhaps it was my Savu review. It'll work on the Mionix Sargas and Roccat Taito. Cloth pads are best and no patterns on the pad for most accurate results.

I currently have my Savu married to the Roccat Taito Mid-3mm pad and love it. thumb.gif

Congrats on the Savu. smile.gif

EDIT: I have a Savu at home on both rigs. Kids use Roccat Sota but its too speedy but can't get them to change to the extra Roccat Taito Mid-3mm I have waiting for them. However on a side note the Roccat Sota is starting to do it's wavy bending because of the aluminum pad in between the flexible plastic and only a matter of time before it's unusable. I was warned about the Sota doing that and it truly is.

Back left side button while depressing the scroll wheel changes DPI.

Naturally you can do it via the software download HERE.

30$ for that mouse is an absolute steal. Best flash deal I've seen so far from the egg

So I've been using the mouse for a bit, and I'll admit, it's going to take a bit of getting used to from my old G9. The clicks and the scroll wheel are a little stiffer than what I'm used to, and the mouse is uncomfortable to palm. The sensor is great though and the LED is pretty cool.

That thing is so tiny! (I had one as well)
