Geggeg - thank you for you feedback.

I think I am going to buy a Kone XTD. The best price seems to be B&H Camera and Video in New York City, believe it or not, at $75.99. It's $4 cheaper than NewEgg and $3 cheaper than Amazon, $10 cheaper than BestBuy and $20 cheaper than MicroCenter - plus B&H has free shipping. Hard to believe a mom and pop can compete with the big boys, but I am probably going to buy there to support an Indy dealer.

I still would like feedback from long term owners about what I can expect going forward in my ownership - durability, customer service etc.

lol B&H is no mom and pop store, it is the world's largest photography store. It also has a lot of other electronic equipment as you have noticed.
Yeah, you are right. But when I thought about B&H in relation to Amazon or Newegg.com it seemed like a mom and pop (lol). Anyway - I ordered from B&H last night and got an email this morning that it already shipped, even though I picked the free 5-8 day shipping.

Incidentally, for anyone interested, i put the question of # of clicks to Roccat directly as well (on Friday), and Tibor Fischer at Roccat got back me to late last night (morning in Europe). I asked:
Quote:
I am thinking about buying a Kone XTD. How many clicks can i expect to get out of the mouse? I know Logitech tests their mouse button switches out to 20 million clicks. I want to make sure if I get a high quality, expensive mouse that it will last.

and Mr. Fischer responded:
Quote:
Hi ...,

we mainly use Omron Switches for the Kone mice, these are already the "Mercedes" when it comes to micro-switches.
Can't tell you how many million clicks the switches are lasting exactly. But I can tell you that defects on microswitches are extremely rare on the Kone XTD.

Viele Grüße / Kind regards,
Tibor Fischer

Have to say I like good customer service, and this qualifies.

Hello brothers (and sisters), I'm a newcomer and need your advice on Kone Pure.

I mainly play FPS games and do a lot of AutoCad works, so I need a precise sensor (no acceleration, no jitter) with low LOD, a soft middle button and a not-so-loud scroll wheel. The optical version seems ideal for me, but is the LOD of this version low?

And how about the build quality? I had bad experience with Roccat's mouses. My first Roccat's mouse was Pyra Wired, the middle button of this mouse was so stiff and it died so soon, I was frustrated with this because AutoCad requires to use this button a lot. My second Roccat's mouse was Lua. Well, the middle button of this mouse was softer. but I got double-click problem, with two different Lua mouses mad.gif Is thing now different with Kone Pure?

You may ask why I'm now asking about another Roccat's mouse. Because I like Roccat's light drivers, and the price of their mouses in my country is quite reasonable, for example Kone Pure will cost me ~68 USD.

So is Kone Pure is worth to purchase? And which one?

Hey guys, I am looking at grabbing a Roccat Savu and have a couple questions

1) What are the actual dimensions? According to the site it's 90g and 7.2cm wide which makes it wider than my Sensei (don't want that) and I was told it was actually smaller than sensei, also what is the height?

2) Is the sensor flawless?

Mostly looking for a tiny fingertip mouse

I cannot attest to how the kone pure optical compares to other roccat mouse except for the XTD, but the LoD for the kone pure optical is very high. 5mm + easy. The build quality is awesome as usual.

Anyone deal with their support service before? Take a long time? Expensive shipping to far away? My side buttons on my Savu, especially the front one, is starting to die. I have to click it very hard and at a specific angle for it to register.

I think I'm just past warranty and if it is too complicated of a process, based on the replies I am hoping to get, I'll probably just buy a new mouse since the ergonomics were an OK but not perfect fit from day 1.

Hi Kuhla,

when and where did you buy the Savu? In which country do you live?
