If you look at the banner image up top (at least on the pro version) it has a decal that says roccat talk on it. It doesn't mention it anywhere else though.

I agree...I dont remember seeing it until I looked yesterday.
But hey, as long as its actually there, I dont really care too much haha, I just want it so i can offload some things like easy aim from the mouse tot he keyboard. maybe make it the left alt button or something easy to hit biggrin.gif

I got the Roccat Taito in the end as it was cheaper and if i dont like it i will go and get the alumic.

First impressions, its MASSIVE, soft feels very different to my old aluminum mat, not sure if i like it, there is certainly more drag. I will play some COD tonight and make my mind up! Nice plain looking mat though and if i don't keep it for my gaming setup, i can use it at work.

After playing a few hours of MW3 i can say i prefer my old Razer Exact X Control Mat. This means i either need to get Roccat's version (Alumic) or stick with what i have but it has horrible green writing on which doesn't match anything!

Have you seen the new vespula (new version of eXactmat). I don't think it has any green on the pad itself. I may be wrong though.

I've been in the market for a new hard pad myself that's not aluminum for the winter months. I'm kind of like you and don't want the huge splashy logos. I like minimal writing / logo on my pad.

Razer has the new Destructor 2 which looks like an interesting dark gray hard plastic type surface. Minimal logo.

However, If you don't mind the slight cold touch and the logo, I would try the Roccat Alumnic. smile.gif

The black speed side is less splashy,

Here is a very good review from SingularityComputers I found of the Roccat Alumnic and give you a good look at it. smile.gif

yay..now to wait for my birthday / get a job so I dont need to wait till my birthday rolleyes.gif
Any source? I've heard that too but I still would like it. I was planing to get the mid ryos but i got really disappointed when I found out it doesn't have USBs and Audio jacks and now I don't know... Either screw them and get it anyway or get the basic version but I really want lit keyboard...

Anyway current owner of old Roccat Kova, used to own Isku and Kone + (both lovely, sold them to guy who paid $5 less then he could get new ones so whatever, I want Ryos and bigger mouse anyway).
Don't have pictures atm, will post some when I get ryos.

source for the price or for the talk feature?
Mid range price is $130, low end non lit is $99

The low end IMO makes absolutely ZERO sense. You can get fully lit (not per key but whatever) mechanicals for around that price...

Price:

It's got talk, as it says so in the banner next to where you can watch the trailer her:

Look what i got!

Verdict so far:

Its just the right size, just a little bigger than my Razer Exact Mat, high quality finish, the logos are a lot more subtle in real life, almost metallic they look fantastic! Have only tried the speed side so far, the graphic is really growing on me, looks so good with my XTD!!!
