voltages answers please

hi what i wanna know is if i have 1600mhz dd3 kingston max voltage on ram is 1.65v is that just a warning because they cant be overclocked and it will fry the ram/pcb ??? or is that just the jedec as a way of saying if u go higher it voids warranty.

because u cant overclock ram without raising the voltage obviously... and i dont have any mini ram coolers so yea if someone with knowledge could answer would be awesome thanks


my sys specs incase you need info to answer are

i7 2600k Oc to 4.7 ghz, ram kingston hyper ex 2x2gb google this to find it khx1600c9ad3b1/2g
6990 Oc to 930mhz
PSU corsair 850 hx

i personally wouldnt go past 1.65v on ram..im sure you can drop the voltage and play with the timings a bit.
