From What I see there your exhaust fans out number the intake fans, and that's pretty bad considering there are not many openings in front or bottom to pull intake the air from other than the 1 default 120mm fan slot, a big air cooler will definitely suffer from not getting enough intake.
From Hardware Canucks' case review:
Many things can be said about the D14, but overrated in term of cooling performance definitely does not apply, your case failed the D14.

isn't it obvious from my case that it's heavily modded with custom fan mounts hence a corsair h100i was once mounted at the top? don't compare it to a stock case lol

The Case sucks, if you mod it or not it just sucks for air cooling, In every other case with decent airflow the D14 will destroy the h60.

Yep, probably one of the biggest misconceptions about CLCs as an intake is blowing "hot" air over the motherboard/components. For one it's not even that hot, plus "active" airflow over the components despite its slight increase in temperature is better than a passive air pull (as an exhaust).

Your GPU with that non reference cooler will put out hotter air.

I concede that the air might be lukewarm(depend on CPU load), but Intake hotair from the radiator completely violates the thermodynamic principle that hot air rises. Plus the people that have their radiator act as top intake are few and far between and if having hot air blowing downward is suppose to be amazing why doesn't anyone mount an air cooler to exhaust toward the bottom?

Absolutely.

The air may well be 20-60C cooler than the VRMs, after being heated by the rad.

I have not used a Top mounted radiator so I will take it at your word. Still I see no obvious advantage in VRM cooling over an Twin Tower Air which also pulls a large amount of cool air across the motherboard.

Unless you hacked open the front with an axe , there won't be enough intake space to support 2 or more 120mm fan, it doesn't matter how many intake fan you put in the HDD cages as the front opening is only good for 1 120mm and it definitely won't give you enough intake to properly use a D14.

There isn't an advantage over an air cooler which is blowing at a VRM sink, but there is a significant advantage over the same radiator that is pulling air out the top, rather than pushing air at the board.

Plus the people that have their radiator act as top intake are few and far between and if having hot air blowing downward is suppose to be amazing why doesn't anyone mount an air cooler to exhaust toward the bottom?

This is not even a factor in computer cases with fans. There would literally be fire inside of your case for the temperatures to rise enough to cause convection current to overwhelm even the wimpiest of fans. Simply put, thermodynamics is not something to use in an argument on the internet computer forums. Dead zones with no airflow or misdirected airflow are far worse than anything a radiator can expel into the case.

Edit: If they had changed the orientation of the NH-D14 they would have seen a much greater improvement in VRM temps vs any of the WC solutions.

Lol you even read artical, how is it superior if its cooling is less effective on CPU temp? I would instead call it maybe more practical but definitely not superior.

I opted for closed loop vs the noctua because big coolers are torture to motherboards and I just cant stand the sag.
