Witcher 2 shocked me o.0

Thread Starter 

So got Withcer 2 since price droped alot for it on shops.

So easy mode for games is always way too easy so decided to play on medium ,but then i realized  normal mode is hard as hell.

Letho or whatever was name of the boss in 1st chapter raped me 2hours  till i gave up and switched to easy mode.

I mean cmon hard games are fun but i acctualy almoust broke my keyboard (and i have not done it for past 5years)

 

Mybe i just suck in RPG games like witcher 2 or mybe im not doing somthing right?Mybe sombody could give me some guides how to freaking complete game on medium dificulty ? :D

It's well known TW2 is a hard game. You should try it on the hardest setting lol.

Letho is quite a hard guy to fight, mainly because on Hard he gets lots more health. If you get more bombs than a B-52 however, he is that little bit easier to take down. Once i got used to playing the game, with all the dodging around etc, i found it a lot easier, it really is a great game!

Dont worry your not the only one here,

I had to decrease difficulty on that game from medium/normal to easy, I believe it was with Letho too, is he the fat guy? you fight him after the big octapus thing right?

But yeah its an extremely hard game.

There are two ways to beat him

One is with a ****ton of firebombs, its the easiest way to get past him as the flame DoT's take him down

The second way which is slightly harder and also requires you teching in a certain tree is by levelling up signs (mostly Quen, the one which puts up a shield) and having alot of vigor.

There are probably other way you can get him, either that or learn his combat moves and hit him when hes open. I have to say after playing Dark Souls the combat of this game became a cinch, I swear that game teaches you the how-do of RPG combat.

(in the elven baths ruins)
is pretty difficult. Bombs and signs (Quen and Aard) help quite a bit.
However, I found the final fight (if you fight him) with Letho quite easier, beacuse of the better items and higher level.

Okay .....now im shocked about massive response :D

Somehow happy that im not only who has problems completing this game :D Was thinking im getting too old for  games alredy :D

The worst part is that when I fighted Letho i didnt had bombs or potions to put on sword....once he starts hiting me im done....tho on easy I slaped him like little girl :D 

Worst thing i spent 2h to kill the Letho and only then thinked about changing dificulty :D

I got the witcher two about a year ago but have yet to play it (properly, anyway). I wanted to play through the first beforehand but the controls (and difficulty) was so frustrating i just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Sadly, i'm finding the Witcher 2 to be no different. So although it's likely a good game with many redeeming qualities, i just can't get over the controls, especially in combat. At least, not right now.

I had the same issue as Thingamajig with the controls, took a lot of remapping before I finally digged it, then I lost my savegame and put it on the shelf for a year. Now after I've played Dark Souls, I enjoy the relaxed combat of TW2 smile.gif It also helps when you are near overpowered through crafted epics and whatnot. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
