kingston hyper x memory cooler....

I was wondering if anyone has tried this product before i go out and buy it.if so does it actuallt improve performance or does it just blow more air? I kinda like the way it looks with the blue leds so looking for feedback from actual users.....thanks guys:thumb:

Is this what you are talking about? I have not used one however it isn't really needed, for the most part the attached heat spreader is sufficient, even with an overclock. However, I have seen people say it cools RAM by about 15C in reviews but RAM temp isn't super critical. Honestly at $30 It seems at bit much, but if you like the look and are willing to pay $30 for it, go ahead but it truly isn't needed.

I don't see a point in buying such coolers separately - if you're using a fancy case then any sort of airflow in the memory area is already sufficient, if you want efficiency - a simple 80/92mm fan strapped nearby will be better.

Yeah thats kinda what i was affraid of,think ill just put my money on things that actually benafit me.thank u gentlemen! A little dissapointed it does look cool but its ok
