that sucks if they stopped producing them, cause the cheapest 1950pro now is only 20 bucks less then the 1950xt i was looking at

Sounds kind of like what happened to the 7900gto, except the gto had the same core as its older siblings. It just kind of disappeared.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

This HIS version has gotten the highest clock out of any x1950pro, if you can though get the Powercolor version its $200 and OC's very nicely with the aftermarket cooling.

So far on my powercolor version I have OC'd to the HIS version and cant go anything futher...

But if you must

Powercolour apparently is a ver overclockable brand so i would chase one up.

I have the Sapphire, and yes I noticed that it had disappeared from Newegg.com as well, because I wanted to write a review. I would suggest going for the Powercolor, becuase it comes with the Accelero X2 cooler, and will lead to good OCing in the future. However, you may want to read up on this, becuase I hear that this cooler's exhaust is aimed to the motherboard.....I am looking into getting a cooler for my Sapphire sometime in the future, so if I run across any negative reviews of the Powercolor, or the X2 cooler, I will let you now. There is a 512 Mb model, however I'm not really sure if the card can utilize the extra Mbs, you may want to ask Enterprise1701 (he knows his s#$t). Here it is on newegg.com
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103022
The thing is, it may be a marketing ploy, as I hear that only the really high end cards can utilize 512 Mb of memory. Also, this card's memory and core is a little underclocked from my card, but only by 5 Mhz.
All in all, I LOVE my X1950 Pro, and I can play all of my games on high settings! I just installed and played Prey for the first time since I installed my card, and WOW it is absolutely gorgeous.
