Problem w/ Memory

Thread Starter
I have a Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 Motherboard with I5 and 2x 2gb Corsair Vengence 1600 Ram. Everything has been working fine till today when I installed a new CPU cooler. Now my computer will not post with both sticks of Ram in. I get an error 45. It will post if I just use one of the memory slot. I have tested to see if I had a bad slot and if one of my memory sticks were bad. But all slots and memory work as long as I only use one. Any Help?

Did you try only both going solo in the recommended slot in your mobo manual?

Heatsink might be on too tight, maybe try loosening a little bit & see if dual channel fires up again.

Hey thanks guys. I got both of my memory sticks to be recognized by my bios but I had to set them In A1 slot and B1 slot. Its not dual channel but at least I got both of them working.
