The PERC 6/i runs at x8 speeds, but will go in an x8 or x16 slot. Either way, it's gonna run at x8 speeds (since that's all it needs). It looks like your board has 1 x16 slot and 2 x1 slots...so hope your not using the x16 for anything else. smile.gif

Neither of my DFI boards (Blood Iron and Lan Party P45) have onboard video mad.gif.

Find an older PCI video card, hehe.

That sucks man....looks like you may have to get a new board.

I'll take a look to see if I have any old PCI video cards laying around. If not maybe I can just pick one up tomorrow at MicroCenter.

I will honestly be shocked if they still sell PCI video cards. Then again...NewEgg still sells them.

Thanks killa, I'll let you know after I look around. How much for one shipped?

The MC actually has 6 in stock but they aren't cheap.

Click the drop down menu for NY - Westchester County/Yonkers above to view the ones at my store.

Can the DFI run headless?

If so you just need the video card for the initial OS install + your remote terminal of choice.

Yeah, $40-60 or so is what I expected based on NewEgg prices. Running headless is an option, but if your network card was to die or something you might be in trouble. Also, one of my server's motherboard (which was a consumer desktop motherboard, mind you) didn't have onboard video and I wanted to just set it up and run headless, but the thing will not boot without a video card in there...even if no monitor is attached.
