H100i worth the trouble to fit into CM Storm Enforcer? Or just get a H80i?

After my failed question thread about fan setup with either the H100i or the Kraken x60 in a Storm Enforcer... I have educated myself a bit on it and found that the H100i kind of fit, and that the Kraken will not.

After reading the common issues in trying to install one and looking at the pics I believe I can get one installed while using the designated holes meant for when you use 2 120mm fans, but it would involve me buying 6-32 x .5" or .625" screws (stock screws are .375" long.) as well as buying 2 Yate Loon 120mm x 20mm fans (probably the D12SH-12C.).

So is it worth the trouble? Or would the H80i serve me better(Even tho I kind of wanted the H100i.)?

h100 performs better so i would go with that. it's definitely worth modding your case a little and going through the trouble of that. as for fans though, i would look at the noctua nf-f12. they are quieter and perform better than the yate loons. i would recommend this one over the h100 though since it is a lot more reliable and provides better cooling:

I don't think the Extreme 2.0 will fit, it is x38.3mm or using the H100i with nf-f12. The H100i is x27mm and I read that the I/O panel can/will get in the way of installing it because of that, looking at pics it looks like only a few mm needs to be taken away for it to fit, that is why it would involve me buying the Yate Loons because they are 20mm compared to the standard 25mm.

H100i is probably one if not the best closed loop cooler at the moment. If you're going to OC that cpu hard, it's definitely worth it (also if you have the money).

If you feel comfortable modifying your case, then go for it! if you don't. Then I would just suggest getting a nh-d14. Performs just as well as an h80 under full load and is a little bit cheaper. thumb.gif

I might just be a picky person, but I don't like the large heat sinks that most, if not all, the high performance air based cooling comes with. Right now even the Hyper 212 Evo that I have right now is pushing it.

I got this h100i for free and It was fairly easy to mount, If I were you I would go with the H80i But if you did get an H100, You can make it fit
