I know about the psu, just planning for future upgrades a bit. Figured out the problem with the cpu heat; it turns out that somehow the power cable for the heatsink fan had come loose, regardless I will still upgrade my heats ink, I am upgrading it to a Noctua D14. I will post my results by Monday or Tuesday once I get the new cooler.

On a sidenote, I already filled out my rig, why isn't it showing up? Is there a setting I need to change?

I believe there's an option what to show as primary on your sig. Some people have multiple rigs so they purposefully pick one to autoexpand.

Probably same place as that.

@sunnyFTW Yes, and my mobo is a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3

@rdr09 Will do, the cpu temp right now is at a pleasing 35 degrees Celcius, I'll update more once I get my cpu cooler in on Monday. My rig should be in my signature now.

Unfortunately your VRMs are not heatsinked nor are 6+ phase they're a 4 phase.

I was sad I saw 970a-ds3 instead of ud3
This is one of the best budget boards since it's an 8+2 phase with a solid build.

And then sad when I see you're pushing a hex-core on those unsinked 4phase vrms.

If you haven't read about VRMs

At least buy some heatsinks here and you should be better.

hot mosfets reduce overclocks, can blow up or will throttle your clocks/frequency/voltage.

as Flash mentioned, it is not a good idea to oc with that mobo but even if you don't your cpu will perform enough now to support your gpu. your physics score should go from the measley 3000 to 5600. maybe oc to 3.8GHz or just let turbo do its thing.

@Flash Just ordered the UD3 thumb.gif

By the way, if anyone is looking to buy that DS3 for any reason I have it listed on amazon, my seller name is brettsells101, also listed is a very nice pair of TB x32's with analog AV/HD adaptor.

And that's the end of my salesman splurge.

I'll keep updating you guys on my frames issue but I'm going to wait for my stuff to come in on Monday before doing anymore testing.
