Dude this sucks, I hate companies screwing customers.
The hardware should be the hardware you ordered!
As for you GPU thats answered already. The tricky part now is the CPU which I will try to explain below with info from wikipedia:
Core1 Duo T2400,1833 MHz,2048 KiB,667 MT/s,11x,M,294$
Core2 Duo T5600,1833 Mhz,2048 KiB,667 MT/s,11x,M,241$
Here the links:
I would say that the Core2 one is one generation newer then the Core. The Core uses 31W max and the Core 2 34W. So the difference between the 2 is very small. But the Core2 is newer so I think its the better one of the 2. Only based on age of course.
But the fact remains that you bought different hardware then what youve got and that aint right. The CPU is no big deal but the GPU is. The X1450 is a big step down from the X1600.
The company should make this up to you by replacing the X1450 with a X1600 a least! They should leave the CPU tough and it would be sweet to request some more ram or anything for the effort you have gone trough
Play them hard and make them bleed! They screwed you over and they should make that up!
"Yonah" (standard-voltage, 65 nm)
* All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EIST, XD bit (an NX bit implementation)
* Virtualization Technology supported by: all models except T2300E, T2050, T2250
Core 2 Duo
"Merom" (dual core, 65 nm)
* All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST), EM64T (an x86-64 implementation), XD bit (an NX bit implementation), iAMT2 (Intel Active Management), LaGrande Technology (Intel Trusted Execution Technology)
* Virtualization Technology: supported by all models except T5200 and T5500
To make things short the T5600 has more new technology's implemented and is 64 bit. According to Wikipedia the T2400 isnt 64bit and thats a big deal with Vista coming up.
So its better to stick with the T5600 but get rid of the X1450.
