Microsoft Vista graphic drivers fail to arrive

WE ARE still trying to find out what is happening with Nvidia's and ATI's graphic drivers. This morning there are still no sign of real RTM (Release to Manufacturing) drivers.
ATI has a kind of RTM driver but Open GL doesn’t work on that, while Nvidia has a WHQL driver with OpenGL broken and various Direct 3D bugs in the driver package.

ATI's driver can run 3Dmarks and most of the Direct 3D games, which implies that ATI is a bit more ready with its Direct3D drivers. Nvidia's Open GL driver is in better shape but still not even close to the one for Windows XP.

I have the feeling THIS will determine when the enthusiasts/gamers make the switch.

Isnt that the truth, I love vista, almost everything about it! However, if I cant play my games on it, then what good is it?

This would explain those white boxes everywhere when i tried to run unreal tournament in OpenGL mode lol.

In my experiances, you will need approximatly 512megs more ram then XP to run the same games, but most games seemed to run at around the same performance as ATi's 6.x drivers.

I am getting wierd problems with some older games like unreal tournament, but newer games like FarCry and CS:S run just as good as they do in XP.
