Missing Icons

Thread Starter
So I was using darkbasic in a vain attempt to learn programming. The tutorial I was on had me looking at the restitutions of my video card. I couldn't get it to work right so I gave up and figured I'd try again later. After words I happened to notice that I suddenly have no icon pics for anything. Below is reply I receive from the db forum.

You can't damage your XP icons directly from DB. You would have to call a DLL function, or run the DELETE FILE command on the icon files."

I didn't deleted anything. Nor did I call a DLL function. Not that I know what a DLL function even is. Anything I can do to get my icon pics back?

Hmm, I think you might be able to take them from an XP disc, in extra services. If not, try repairing your installation of windows?

Or google for icon packs and a guide in where to place them. If I was at home I would definately be able to help you out more. If this isnt solved by the time I am home, PM me in about 3 hours and I will do my best.

Bump. I have tried to repair with my windows disk and I'm not having any luck. I press R to repair. It tells me 1:driver D windows. I select 1 even though that's my cd drive. Then it ask me entire my admin password. I don't even have a password set so I just press enter. Then it just says D/windows and all I can do is type exit to quit.
