Did you paint your power supply case or is that a white cover you can buy?

Did you buy them or make them? And did you cover the entire case of the PSU? It looks clean.. How'd you go about it?

OK here we go. I wrapped my PSU in white carbon vinyl wrap. It is very easy to use and cost effective so if you make a critical mistake on wrapping, you can peel it off and try again thumb.gif The PSU was wrapped in 2 separate pieces. It is not perfect by any means but it will remain mostly hidden. I did it mostly for aesthetics biggrin.gif

The PSU is a Corsair AX760i. I know its overkill but if you are going to do something why not have the power. I started with the top half of the PSU. I measured how much I would need and over compensated a bit to allow for smoothing and anything else unaccounted for. I only peeled back just enough film and applied it to the PSU. As I gradually proceed, I am taking care that I did not include any air bubbles. If I did I used a piece of plastic to push them along. Any stubborn bubbles, I used an exacto to make an ever so small slit to remove said bubble, then smoothed it out so the cut is not seen. After the the top half is wrapped, I went thru smoothing it out revealing all of the detail. I just used my exacto and followed any groves I wanted to reveal and cut them away carefully. Same went with the screws and fan opening. I angled my knife on the fan opening to get an even cut all the way around. I essentially did the same for the other side of the PSU thumb.gif Again it isnt perfect but you get the idea thumb.gif

w00t! I got my PSU bracket in from dwood ( a member here in the forums) It is for my 7970 video card and the case badges are made of metal as well as seen below:

Soon, I will be able to install them thumb.gif

I also just got my white wire and crimper in for my custom PSU cables:

I also got an update last night on my panels as they are nearing completion:

Stay tuned as more is to follow!

WOW! That bracket looks great, and so does the side panels! I didn't even realize the PSU was covered in tape until you said something, so i'd say it looks more than convincing. Where's you get the case badges from?
