I honestly think it's a matter of looks then. I switch out all the fans that come standard with parts anyways. If it's worth the money to you I would buy some panaflo fans to replace the stock fans.

Its the mounting of the fan is the prob. If my case was horisontal it would not be a prob and i could just wedge it in place on top.

i tried looking for some reviews on the ocz and corsair ram coolers but found nothing...but seriously its easier and cheaper to just stick some fans over your ram...i made my own ram coolers with some spare playstation 2 fans i had lying around. added a bit of gold paint and i was good to go!..this allowed me to push my ram to 255mhz 2-2-2-5 with 3.4v..bh5 modules so they do like voltage...and they arnt even hot!!

I wont give up those timings/speed for anything (Even 2GB! cant tempt me yet!)

I could get a 80mmx25mm fan on that memory if I could remove the brace bracket on the SI-120 (See pic) Might give it a try

I think its just to stop the heatpipes from deforming when you fit the cooler, since im careful with it I dont think it will be a prob.

Ive only taken mine to 3.2v as I dont have a fan right on top of it, just "near" the modules.

Do you have your fans blowing down or up on the modules?

EDIT: If i had just a bit more space between the motherboard and the PSU the 80mm fan would sit nicely on those brackets....... Its short by a couple of milimeters

Just shave a few mm off your fan
