A GARGANTUAN SPLATTER CANNON.... AT LEVEL 6....

And the multiplayer community is still growing. Torchlight 2 just passed the 1 million sales mark after three months, and it's still cleaning out the charts. So you can always find a game when friends are being lazy slobs, whining about at least 6 good hours of sleep and what not.

Pets. Fuzzy pets that you can name.

Torchlight 2 is an awesome game to get her.

My sister is currently playing this game and when it comes to items it reminds her of dressing up Barbie. LOL

It's much cheaper and we both think easier to get into. Titan Quest (and the expansion) as cheap on Steam and offer co-op. TQ is like Diablo Greece/Rome/Eqypt.

Please note: Torchlight 1 doesn't have co-op, but TL2 does. Also, you don't need to play TL1 to understand TL2.

My sister was a hardcore TL1 and TL2 player, she actually got me hooked into TL2, which reminded me of Diablo 2 A LOT.

You should get Minecraft. Its a sand box game, meaning you can do whatever you want. You can run around and break/build stuff in creative mode, or play survival where you can still do the same thing, but can be killed. Minecraft is definitely a game for casuals.

Trine 2 has online multiplayer, and might be a lot of fun between the two of you to figure out its many puzzles.
Castle Crashers is on Steam, and is a whole lot of fun; really designed for co-op as well. That was the favorite of my college's game meetups.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a decent Tomb Raider spinoff, primarily designed around cooperation between its two players.

If you often spend time in the same house, then you could grab an Xbox/Logitech controller or two and play local co-op games. For instance, Rayman: Origins is a great one. (It's not available in online co-op unfortunately) Jamestown is a comparatively-easy "Bullet-Hell" shooter that can be played locally with another person.
