Each chip will be different, just bump the voltage by tiny increments until it's stable, run your tests and check your temps smile.gif

Yay ! passed the bios blockage at 4.5 Ghz...

I hope the temp will be good. I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm not sure of what is the real voltage used... Anyone knows a good software to read the voltage properly?

Hi Guys,

I've been able to stabilize at 4.5-4.6.Ghz (not sure anymore, too much stuff occurred at the same time) @ at around 1.45V.

My temps under IBT was at peak 72C (2 hottest cores) but was most of the time at 70-71C (for the same cores) during 50 passes.

I know I could go up to around 4.8 Ghz but I'll need a water cooler (need more V to achieved stability).

I'll look at Water cooler, any body knows good FACTORY SEALED ones with a 140mm RAD?

Best regards,

Temps are good but that a lot of volts for 4.5, mine runs around 1.35v for 4.5GHz

My bad,

CPU-Z and HWmonitor report, at start up, 1.404V. Then I start IBT and it drop at 1.332V...

Core temps stay the same @ 1.3711V...

Weird this fluctuation...

Someone have an idea why the voltage fluctuation that the software give me?

I would understand if it was increasing under loard... that it's telling me that is DEcreasing under load...

It's normal for it to decrease at load, it is known as Vdroop. You can increase your setting for load line calibration (LLC) to counteract it and then you can reduce your voltage in the BIOS, so instead of 1.4 idle and 1.33 load, you'll have 1.35 idle and 1.33 load. And core temp is showing the VID, which is what the chip thinks it needs, not the actual core votlage. Use CPU-Z to read the actual voltage.

I'll Try enabling LLC, last time I've use it on that system it made thing worst.

I've used CPUZ and posted the results in a previous post:

Thank for the clarification, I tough that Vdroop was a difference between what you input in the Bios and the reality. I didn't knew it could be acting like this.
