Windows Customs (and Windows Vista side note)

Thread Starter
Are there any good Windows customizing tools that don't bog down your resources? I would love to have some kind of Windows theme and maybe some tools that load on start-up that show my resources and stuff.

Also, if I remember right, Windows Vista is going to be starting at $400 per copy for the basic version. I work at Best Buy and we occassionally have good deals on desktops where you can buy just the tower for maybe 200-300 dollars and all our laptops and desktops come with a free copy of Windows Vista. So, if you dont want to fork over 400 bucks, I would recommend buying a cheap desktop to get the copy of Windows Vista and then you can use the extra parts or resell the desktop.. or within 14 days just give it back to BestBuy for a 15% restocking fee.

well ive had good luck running windowsblinds i think its called, it actually lowered the resources that xp used when i was running it, theres also a related program that you can get that allows you to modify the theme with your own custom stuff but i never got into that

Windows blinds is FTL, use this site http://winmodify.net/ and find themes that you can apply through the windows theme manager... far better than running an extra program!
