Did you do the driver wipe? How old is the PSU?

Try the GPU in another pci - e slot if possible.

I did use driver fusion to wipe the driver as much as the non-premium would let me . Yea , i will try the card in the other slot and report back. I bought all my parts on the same day so it should be around 3-4 months old.

I have started to have the same problem with the same GPU as you.
The problems started to appear after similar time as yours, after 4-6 months of usage.

I have tried several driver versions, but nothing helped me. Then suddenly it stopped.
Nonetheles the problems returned and I have finally got myself up to reinstall my system.
Im still avating results from that though.
If this doesnt help me, I think Im going to RMA the card.

Nope , no luck. It did not happen for about 4 - 5 days since i last posted but the problem came back again. Not sure whats the problem now , im really suspecting that its my PSU might be too low as i sent it to my local distributors and they did stress test for my GPU for 2 nights and they did not find any problem with it. There is a thread : http://www.overclock.net/t/1201463/sapphire-radeon-7970-weird-no-signal-display-problem-please-help which explains very clearly (in the 2nd post)about what keeps on happening on my GPU. I would like to ask you guys if its worth to wait4-6 weeks to send my card to sapphire itself to let them test it or should i just get back my card ?

Thanks smile.gif

Have you considered a OS re-install ? If the person who stress tested the cards is genuine, then try a re-install. But its so Random, so really hard to tell. Do a re install and check IMO.

Thanks! i'll try that when i get back my GPU on monday and i'll post to see if that fixes it biggrin.gif

Seems like many of the 78xx Card users are also getting this problem, i will try it with even earlier drivers and see if that fixes my problem or maybe downclocking th card.

He problem is still here after I got back my card , on the day I got back my card it happened once whole playing guild wars . Reinstalled windows ( not sure if I did 8t right as I just put the disc in and installed windows without deleting he old one ) after reinstalling windows it didn't happen for The whole of yesterday but it happened today while playing guild wars again . This time I took my entire system apart (besides the cpu) and fixed it again but the problems still there when im on guild wars

Also found out that the card would most likely not display a picture durimg start up when its in the 1st pci e slot.

Not really which part's the proplem now in the rig , im guessig either the mobo or the psu
