FYI 50g actuation force and clicky probably means cherry blue switches. The pad itself is almost identical to the Nostromo pad. I've owned a Nostromo and thought it was fairly nice ergonomic wise, but I ended up trashing it because the keys were terrible, so a Nostromo with mechanical keys could actually be a nice peripheral imo.
On the other hand, there really aren't enough keys to use it for games other than FPSs.
Also, if they are indeed using cherry blue switches, it's probably best to avoid it. I have a cherry blue filco, and while I love the switches, they aren't good for fast paced gaming. The actuation point and release point are at different heights due to the click leaf, which makes high speed double tapping hard to do. You either have to let the key come all the way back up, or you click twice without the key releasing (which you can't do with 100% reliability due to no tactile feedback). Since this keypad would primarily be marketed at competitive level fps play, it's strange to me that they likely include a switch which is, imo, inferior in a very important characteristic when compared even to a rubber dome.

Personally I don't know why everyone thinks blues are bad for gaming. Yeah the actuation and reset points are at slightly different heights, but it isn't hard to double tap at all.

So far I prefer blue switches to browns for gaming because of the increased tactility, I hate reds and blacks so I'm not really gonna compare them to blues.

Yea i myself own BlackWindow Ultimate Mechanical keyboard and i have to say it doesn't really last and it does have SLOW response in FPS games. Some buttons work and some do. I always maintain cleaning if needed. The Razer Mamba 2011 older mouse i own is so bad that accuraccy is off now after 3 years of use and wear. But that is also cuz i abuse it lol .Lame.

So much for warranty and best reliable mouse.

Hey you. Yes you. Keep buying razer, their new mouse will have 14.000 DPI and 7 led lights. 180$, good price.

I see where bojinglebells is coming from and I have to agree with him. Let's face it.Most people prefer blues because they're most accessible.

I've used and tested several switches before and although I personally prefer blues for my gaming needs, I wouldn't go as far and recommend them heavily or even state that I don't know why they aren't the best switch for gaming.

I don't see where he's coming from. Double tapping with blues just isn't an issue with me.
I don't think blues are most accessible. Tons of keyboards out today with blacks and reds (as for some reason they're called the gaming switches), and a couple with browns. Lots of selection out there.

I think the double tapping "issue" is heavily overexaggerated. The main difference between blues and browns is the level of tactility, which I notice far more than any trouble double tapping, and which I think should be the difference that's pointed out most.

Why would i need to waste 180 BUCKS for a mouse when i can settle for less from SteelSeries and Logitech and they're made to last and have good dpi ?

At least i know where to find CHEAPER prices if i want Razer.

Ignoring the "I hate razer" and "I love razer" and returning to discussing the orbweaver,
I have the logitech G13 and tried the old N52 (until razer bought the franchise and ruined it with the nostromo, what the freaking hell were they thinking??).

If I can get the G13 quality with the N52 ergonomics, I would not have a problem paying more.
I compromised comfort to get better quality, and because of that I don't use all of the G13 functions I would like to use because of that, so even if I got it, it feels a lose-lose situation.

So :thumb:from me on the orbweaver if it ends up what they promise it to be.

i was wondering when a mechanical key pad would pop up
post #69 of 250
This is getting a lot more attention than I honestly thought it would.. regardless if some people disagree with the price...

Didnt think many people even used the game pads anymore..

I have absolutely none of these problems with my keyboard.

You should really learn to stop preaching to the choir as if your few secluded experiences with Razer products is truth and whole truth.
