Random wierd malfunction sound card

Hi,

sometimes my headphones will do a beep randomly and the sound stops working. Windows will not be able to play any audio files. It happens randomly and it has been happening to me for 2 or 3 years now but I have no idea what causes it.

The problem isn't the headphones because I tried 2 or 3 differents pairs and they all did the same thing. I managed to record the wierd sound.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link but if not let me know please,

Thanks,

the only thing that temporally fix the problem is unplugging the sound card and plugging it back in again.

I guess I'll have to change the motherboard. I'm having a lot of issues with this board frown.gif
