Hello Kitty Prodigy - Page 5

A Personal Note

Hard to believe that it has only been a mere 7 days since my first post for the HK Build Log.
I had a lot of apprehension starting out. I didn’t think anyone would look at it, much less respond.
The first post received (thanks, Jollyriffic! ) had me skipping around the house for 15 minutes!

So thank you all for the interest, feedback, suggestions and tips. (Cue the Lion King song).
I am humbled at the response received so far. I tip my pink baseball cap to you all!

What a great community! (Group Hug!) grouphug.gif

As with everyone else... subbing for g/f biggrin.gif

I googled some WoW benchmarks. If you were using a 3570(k), then I'd say you might be 'ok', but the HD 2500 graphics are not very good. You may have even been better off with an i3-3225. Since you already bought the processor though, as Jollyriffic said, try it and see. You can get an HD 7750 for under $100, and that will play WoW at 1080p no problem.

agreed, it doesnt take a lot to run WOW, but you are going to need more than an integrated GPU in your CPU...

$150 card will run it with its eyes closed...

Getting Ready to cut the window...

But then I got distracted and never got the dremel out. Maybe tomorrow.

Changed direction and started working on the 3D bows for side and front.

Not sure about a bow for the front panel... haven't decided yet. But since I had all the tools out and my hands were already dirty, I did a smaller bow just in case.

Rough start

Final shape. One day to dry and then sanding, a gesso coat and painting.

This is a really nice medium to work with. When it's dry it will be super light-weight and strong.
I know, it kind of looks like cookie dough...or is that just me? hehe laugher.gif

The build is looking great! I'm looking forward to seeing it completed.
You do need a graphics cards to play WOW. Just pick up what you can afford (anything will be better than nothing) and keep the settings turned way down so you can get some decent FPS. While in major cities or large raids you will still struggle a bit though. Later on when you have more money you can always upgrade.

Thanks for sharing the build! biggrin.gif

Jollyriffic & SpyderMS: Do you realize how many "boyfriend" points you would get, if you built your girlfriends' a girlie rig?
It literally would be the best of both worlds! wink.gif

Sean, Thanks for the suggestion. Build would go faster if I didn't need my WOW fix everyday! hehe exhappysmiley.png

Nick7269: Thanks for the suggestion! The end result of the build will definitely be determined by how the game runs. (I am so stupidly addicted to it). smile.gif
