So, there's a Dual Core HTT processors, right? So, thats 4 threads. And yet they are releasing a 4 core chips. Now, take the Core 2 performance out of the equation and what do we get. Pointless. Why are they doing 4 cores when we already have quad threaded processors? Please, dont hang me for this, but I see it as being quite pointless.
Well first I think yould have to use a HT CPU and a dual core CPU to understand the differance, but seeings how you have an amd system instead, Ill put this simple, 4 real cores are much much more efficient(processing wise) then 2 cores with hyper threading. Also for the professional user the quad core would crunch much faster with all 4 cores going then a dual core with HT going. Yes the quad core would run hotter but the processing power would make up for that. Besides the quad core isnt for every Tom Dick and Harry, its for those that want to spend the most for bragging rights, and for those that will actualy use its full potential( you know the crunchers and the guys that make CG movies)
