Hello guys! I decided to enable XMP Profile 1.2 of my RAM modules in Asrock Z77 Extreme4 BIOS and since then i started experiencing lockups on windows. Before, without using XMP and settings manually timing i wasn't experiecing this freezes.I noticed that the only thing it's different between XMP 1.2 Profile and me manually setting timing is the Command Rate or the CR.When i manually set 9-9-9-24 the CR is 1N while with XMP 1.2 Profile,it's 2N.In CPU-Z ,it's called 1T and 2T.

So my question is: What setting do you have on in the Command Rate ?

if you stable with 1T instead of 2T (N) then that is all that matters thumb.gif

Yea i know but i want to see if that's the case with others because if others are stablet with 2N(T) then something with my hardware isn't alright.

Extreme Memory Profile

Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (Intel® XMP) allows you to overclock compatible DDR3 memory to perform beyond standard specifications. It’s designed to enhance the gaming features built into Intel® technology–based PCs. .1

-choose your RAM frequency in bios (rated memory speed ..for example if your RAM is rated 1600 say 11-11-11-30 then thats all you have to change in bios ,just first (Primary Timings) and your voltage just like on the memory module /save
-reboot check your voltages and timings again,if you not stable you may have to rise your VCCIO/DDR voltages just a bit ..it should work

That's what i did.Just changed timings in BIOS to the rated 9-9-9-24 and and my mobo was already recognizing DDR3-1600 so i left it at auto.I just did the skype talk+bf3 opening+trixx+msi afterburner+cpu-z+gpu-z+realtemp and it didn't freeze while usually with XMP it was freezing right after trixx opening, just not all the time. The freezes weren't consistent, they were more like random,1 or 2 every 3 days or something.I'll use this settings Tomorrow and till the end of the upcoming week and i'll update if it's more stable or there are still lockups.Right now going to bed,3 am here in Bulgaria, thx for the help!
