Incredibly slow Raid 5... - Page 2

Welcome back! lol

I used the standard 64kb stripe size and I created it in the bios. Apparently rebuilding it or updating the firmware worked, Because here is my latest screenshot after I just rebuilt the raid.



How are these numbers? Are they about right? I'm also still getting this funky Reported Uncorrectable Error... Should I be worried? Because I am.

You might get a little more performance with a larger chunk/stripe size (if you could bear rebuilding the array again, lol).

Some controllers limit the max, but usually you'd want to plug it in for at least 128k.

Really? I set it to 64kb when I built it. I'm willing to try that. Thanks.

Edit: external HDD took a crap so I have nothing to backup my files to mad.gif.
