Pics Updated :

Guys finally the rig is ready !

OS installed Win7, and soon Ubuntu on VM.

tying of cables is remaining..

So here are the shots:

The chasis fan connector pins are almost being fouled with the rear fan. I've hanged it using a tag up there but m afraid its gonna get in between the blades.. Not been able to find a solution for it yet..

The MSI card is fitting upside down, like the fans are facing down ! Is this normal ?

The cables are yet to be tied up.. hope it all fits in at the back..

I want to instll a PCI wireless LAN card.. this should fit in right ?

This is in pitch dark.. i think the lighting inside is insufficient :/

The light from PSU is good, but since i have the fan facing downwards its getting wasted. I'll try the fan facing up..

1 you could put the fan wires in the rear of the case ( behind the mobo tray.
2 yes the graphics card is facing the correct way
3 some cases allow the psu to face bother up and down others just down only
4 yes that is a great motherboard. you can install either a pci wifi card/lan card in the pci slot OR a PCIEx1 in either the black pciex16 slot ( it is a pciex4 slot acctually ) or the brown slot pciex16 ( acctually it is a x8 slot

Thank you again bro

The problem is that the connectors which i have tied re an extension to the chassis fan connector.. they wont either disengage or go back behind the mobo tray..

and i think the pci wifi card wont fit in the black slot.. so ill have o get it in the brown slot.. will hve to ty both !!

I would say face your PSU down because you want the hot air from the PSU blowing out of the case, not into your GPU. If you want to add some lighting you could get an LED bar or some LED fans or something. A fan controller will help with your fan woes, they are worth the money imho. You are getting an h60? Why not an h100i?

I previously had thought bout the led bar.. But i'm already running over budget..

h100i is way too costly.. already told u my budget woes.. h100i is roughly twice h60..

i'm already overbudget and still so many things left to buy including 2tb hdd, a dvd writer, h60, wifi card !!

I'll have to save now atleast couple of months tongue.gif or may be buy it slowly n steadily...

RAM PROBLEM !!

When i installed the OS, the first thing i did was go and check with the system properties in MY COMPUTER..

It shows just 4GB of RAM despite installing 8GB (4x2).. Not just this the stock speed was supposed to be 1866MHz but in the BIOS its showing 1333MHz only !!

The BIOS also shows only 4028 MB of RAM.. what could be the reason ?

The RAM installed is Corsair Vengeance 8GB (4x2) 1866MHz (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9)

The OS installed is Windows 7 x64 version..

Are they pushed down all the way, until the tabs click closed? Are you running them in the correct dual channel slots based on the manual that came with the MoBo? Are the RAM sticks compatible with your MoBo? To find out compatibility check on the ASUS website. I am heading out to work now, sorry I cannot delve into this any more for the time being.

Yes, both the RAMs were pushes untill they ccked. it seemed a bit difficult initially but then i had to do it..yes the RAM is compatible.. I read it in the Qualified Vendors List QVL on the ASUS website in my MOBO section.. Yes I have instaled them n the correct slots !!

Its ok, work comes first.. It was night here too.. wink.gif

And here is a CPU-Z report attached.. NIKHIL-PC.txt 125k .txt file
