The Phantom Dancer RGB is my newest project that I am building for a relative of mine who wants a gaming computer. He had few requirements: a windowed case, a controllable lighting system, a good monitor and proper frame rates in games like BF3 and Minecraft. We chose to go with the Phantom 410 because it has the window, it's nice to work with, it's affordable and most important of all, he likes it. I've chosen to name this build after the case and the lighting system while squeezing in a tiny video game reference.
The lighting is provided by the NZXT HUE which you may not know. It's a fancy little device that basically consists of a front panel controller that controls lighting modes, colors and intensity. To that controller is attached a 2 meter sleeve of RGB LEDs. It's quite neat, really.
To make this, I got a 10,000 DKK budget which is technically $1750, but it should resemble a US $1400 build (my very rough estimate).

I've been looking at a bunch of options for a long time, making a suggestion in October. Now that he is ready to spend some money, I've finalized over the weekend:

Hardware

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme3
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K
CPU cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems Black Series + NZXT FN-120
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: PowerColor RADEON HD 7950 PCS+ 3 GB
PSU: XFX Core Edition PRO 550 Watt
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1 TB
ODD: Samsung SH-224BB

Case: NZXT Phantom 410
Lighting: NZXT HUE

Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2312HM

OS: Windows 8 Pro

We're expecting to order this tomorrow (Monday) and we should be ready to assemble before the weekend. Personally looking forward to it, hope nothing goes wrong.
