ASUS always late to the game........ this release when 8000 series is right around the corner -.-
These should be released 1-2 months MAX after reference launch. not 1.2 Years after doh.gif

Your need to comment clearly shows your life is just involved in this as ours. I have absolutely no loyalty to Nvidia. If Amd can get its driver issues resolved sooner as well as release a card when they say they are rather then months after their competition in the dual-gpu market I'll go with them next round if their performance warrants it. The 680 had the lead from the beggining in my game of choice(BF3). I'm glad I wen't with the 690 this round. Great drivers, less heat, more power efficient, 3d support. Its a great card. The fact that Amd finally surpasses Nvidia with the GHZ edition by a few fps when the 7970 has been out over a year has little meaning to me. In 6-8 months I'll be buying the next greatest thing anyways. Sorry for all the mess to the Mods.

Oh yes, it sure does, because I'm in here arguing till my face is blue that AMD or Nvidia is better than each others. I'm clearly a moron because I just called them out on it.

I don't think brand loyalty fanboism is relevant unless you buy one brand "just because"... and we talk on these forums to exchange experiences and make informed decisions about our hardware.

I sure as heck wouldn't buy an AMD processor or video card unless it was top performing.

This card looks like a beast ... but my experience with AMD this round is stutter stutter stutter.

I'll take a look at the 8000 series when it comes out. But AMD just can't get their drivers up to par with nVidia. That's why I'd stay away from this card and those like it.

As far as i'm concerned, AMD reads forums. If they see why i'm dissatisfied with the 7900 series, perhaps they'll take steps to address it.

Not sure what this guy is talking about. 7970ghz is faster in BF3 than a 680. Not sure why you would spend more money on something slower but I guess everything has their thing rolleyes.gif

Holy baby bejebus. I can't believe we're still arguing 680 vs 7970 here. It's deja vu all over again from like a year ago.
